The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G lens offers an ultra-wide angle thanks to its 10-20mm focal length range and is designed to ensure excellent optical performance from the center to the edge of the frame at all focal lengths. The three aspherical elements are ideally placed to suppress distortion and turbulence, which are quite common problems with super wide-angle lenses. The optical formula also includes 2 ED (super-dispersive) elements to minimize violet fringing. One ED aspherical element ensures sharp image quality even at the edges of the frame.
The system of rounded aperture blades carefully designed to work together to create the natural bokeh has become a trademark of the G-series of lenses, contributing to impressive overall image quality. The minimum autofocus distance is 0.2 m with a maximum magnification of 0.14x, when switching to manual focus, the minimum distance is 0.13 – 0.17 m with a maximum magnification of 0.18x.
The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G is equipped with a power zoom system designed to ensure responsive operation and adjustable zoom speed. Users have great customization possibilities in many shooting situations through the use of the zoom joystick. The power zoom feature minimizes shake when shooting alone, thereby creating stable and smooth image quality. The zoom joystick can also be mounted on a compatible camera body to make operation easier.
For impressive AF performance that gives stills and videographers unprecedented freedom, the new Sony lens utilizes a 2-motor linear focusing system. This is the key to fast and silent autofocus. Besides, the internal focusing mechanism keeps the physical length of the lens unchanged when focusing.
The fast and reliable autofocus system can smoothly focus on subjects during high-frame-rate movie recording and accurately during high-speed continuous shooting. Sony’s lenses also limit focus breathing (frame shifts when focusing at different distances) to produce smooth and steady footage.
The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G power zoom lens is designed for optimal operation and maneuverability for both movie and still photography with a focus ring, zoom ring and zoom joystick. A customizable focus hold key and delicately integrated focus mode switch make it easy for users to adapt to different shooting conditions.
Users can attach a 62mm diameter filter, such as an ND filter, to expand their creative possibilities, as well as lenses designed to resist dust and moisture. All of this adds to the lens’ outdoor reliability.
E 15mm F1.4 WOOD
G-lens resolution and beautiful bokeh
The E 15mm 1.4 G features a wide-angle 15mm, equivalent to 22.5mm on a 35mm full-frame, with the impressive resolution that has become the trademark of G lenses. Three aspherical elements are incorporated into the cutting-edge optical design. advances to suppress distortion and deliver sharpness throughout the frame, even at a wide 15mm angle. The addition of one ED (super-dispersive) and one Super ED element help to eliminate purple fringing.
The large aperture of F1.4 is precisely controlled for aberrations, and the circular aperture system makes it easy to create smooth bokeh. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.17m and a maximum magnification of 0.15x when focusing manually, impressive close-ups can be created in both still photography and movie shooting.
Using aspherical lenses in an optimized design, large aperture and high definition are converged in a lightweight lens of just 219g, 66.6mm in diameter and 69.5mm in length. The wide-angle, compact size and light weight make this lens ideal for shooting starry skies, landscapes, architecture, indoor scenes as well as highly maneuverable subjects such as sport.
Fast, accurate, silent AF and continuous subject tracking during still photography and movie shooting are realized through the use of two linear motors. This helps to make the most of the focusing speed of the camera body, while maintaining high accuracy even for moving subjects.
The E 15mm F1.4 G utilizes Sony’s latest lens technology to reduce focus breathing – minimizing focus shift at focus distances to produce smooth and steady framing. The lens also supports “breathing compensation” with compatible Alpha bodies, limiting breathing that can interfere in post-production.
Linear Response MF (Linear Response MF) ensures the focus ring responds directly and linearly to changes in manual focus. The rotation of the focus ring is directly converted into a change of the focus position, which provides a responsive and precise feel to the control.
Despite its compact design, the E 15mm F1.4 G lens is equipped with an aperture ring to make changing the aperture simple and intuitive. Along with that is a switch to toggle the mode on/off, with ON providing a feedback effect to help users feel each aperture stop. Meanwhile OFF mode provides smooth, continuous and silent when changing aperture. The OFF mode is optimized for movie shooting, where a stable and smooth frame is required and silence is essential.
A focus hold key and focus mode switch are also included for added customization. The switch allows quick change between AF (autofocus) and MF (manual focus) as needed.
Finally, the E 15mm F1.4 G is designed with dust and moisture resistance in mind for added reliability when used outdoors in harsh environments.
E 11mm F1.8
Impressive sharpness and beautiful bokeh
The E 11mm F1.8 super wide-angle lens is ideal for shooting interiors and subjects where maximum depth of field expression is required. Three aspherical elements and three ED (super-dispersive) elements help achieve high definition from the center to the edge of the frame even at the 11mm ultra-wide angle (16.5mm equivalent on 35mm full-frame). The aspherical lenses are precisely set to correct distortion and deliver full-frame sharpness even at the widest aperture. An ED element has been added to reduce purple fringing and aberrations that often occur at the edges of image details.
This lens’s maximum aperture of F1.8 makes it easy to achieve bokeh to remove fonts. Users can remove the background to help stand out when shooting vlogs, or create beautiful round bokeh balls when shooting wide-angle scenes at night. Purple fringing is precisely controlled and the circular aperture system also helps to create the smooth and characteristic bokeh of the new lens from Sony.
With a minimum focusing distance of 0.12m and a maximum magnification of 0.2x, the Sony lens is capable of impressive close-ups in both stills and movie recording.
The E 11mm F1.8 features a large aperture of F.18 in a compact and lightweight design. The lens weighs just 181g with a diameter of 66mm and a length of 57.5mm – a perfect match for compact APS-C camera bodies.
Two advanced linear motors deliver fast, accurate, and silent subject tracking and autofocus performance for both stills and video. The lens is able to make full use of the body’s speed to keep focus accurate even with moving subjects.
Latest Sony lens technology dramatically reduces focus breathing[vii] and angle shift to produce smooth and stable footage. What’s more, the internal focusing mechanism means that the length of the lens does not change when focusing. This makes it easier for users to move closer to the subject and work in limited spaces to increase creativity.
The E 11mm F1.8 has an 11mm super-wide angle, equivalent to 16.5mm on a 35mm full-frame, making vlogging with a wide angle easier than ever. The small size and light weight of this lens are ideal for maneuverability and control for long shoots.
