The AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors will be the first to use TSMC’s 5nm FinFET technology and introduce users to an entirely new platform and socket from AMD. AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors offer features like PCIe 5.0, support for DDR5 Memory and more! The X670 chipset is divided into two segments – X670 Extreme and X670. The X670E chipset family supports PCIe 5.0 on both the PCIe slot and the M.2 slot while the X670 motherboards only support the PCIe 5.0 standard in a single M.2 slot.
Besides supporting PCIe 5.0 standard and DDR5 memory, all parameters on MSI X670E & X670 Motherboards have been upgraded including the rear USB Type-C port which now also supports Display Port standard output. 2.0. Not only that, the previous USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port on MEG series boards will support up to 60W of power supply.
